Order management
Order management covers how orders are imported, created, and processed as part of the shipping flow. It includes connecting order sources, defining delivery choices, and working with incoming or manual orders before creating shipments.
When to use this
Use Order management when you want to connect sales channels, define delivery choices at checkout, review incoming orders, create manual orders, and prepare orders for shipment creation.
Key concepts
Order channel – a connection between nShift Delivery and an external order source
Custom order channel – used for API-based connections configured with general settings
Integration order channel – used for supported platforms with predefined setup steps
Delivery option – the delivery choice shown to the shopper at checkout for orders from the order channel
Order – Purchase data used to create a shipment. Orders can be imported from connected order channels or created manually
